Bulk NFC Cards in the UAE: Team Branding, Per-Card Cost and Delivery
If you are looking to order bulk NFC cards in the UAE for a team, the practical answer is this: at Smaacaad there is no minimum order, every quantity uses the same listed price per card, programming and a management dashboard are included, and orders ship express within the UAE. A team of 25 on the NFC Business Card at AED 79 each comes to AED 1,975. What takes time is not production. It is deciding what every card should point to, collecting clean names and links, and approving one proof. This guide walks through that process for UAE companies, with real per-card costs, timelines and the traps to avoid.
What bulk NFC cards really means for a UAE team
Most businesses that buy NFC cards for a team are buying between 5 and 100 cards: a sales team, a clinic's staff, a real estate agency, a restaurant group's managers or a set of branches. For orders in that range, the useful questions are not about discounts. They are:
- Do all cards carry the same link, or does each person get their own?
- Will everyone's name be printed, or only the company logo?
- Who can change the links later, and what happens when someone leaves?
- How long will it take from agreeing the design to cards in hand?
Answer these first and the price, which is simple multiplication, almost takes care of itself.
Step 1: Decide the card type
There are three common team setups. Each maps to a different kind of product.
A. One shared link on every card
Every card opens the same destination: your website, your WhatsApp chat, a Google review page or a company profile. This is the cheapest and simplest. It suits front-desk teams, delivery staff and branches. For example, the Google Review NFC Card with QR is AED 29 per card, and the WhatsApp NFC Chat Card with QR is AED 29 per card.
B. A branded business card for each person
Each person has a personal digital profile with their name, photo, job title, contact details and social links, plus Save Contact and Share Card buttons. Smaacaad lists these under Digital Profile Products:
- NFC Business Cards, AED 79 per card, 85 mm by 55 mm PVC, with QR and logo included.
- Custom Logo Digital Business Card with Name, AED 59 per card, with your logo and QR on the front and the person's name printed on the back.
- All-in-One NFC Business Card with QR, AED 59 per card, which can route people to contact details, website, socials, WhatsApp or a review page from one tap.
- MyInfo.ae Digital Business Card with QR at AED 39 per card, with MyInfo.ae branding on the front instead of your own logo.
C. A mix
Managers on branded business cards, front-line staff on a shared WhatsApp or review card, and a stand at each branch. Smaacaad's FAQ says one order can include different products for different platforms, and that every card in an order can share one destination or be set individually.
Step 2: Bulk NFC cards cost per card, with real numbers
Smaacaad's FAQ is explicit: every quantity uses the same listed price per unit, and the total is the quantity multiplied by the one-unit price, confirmed on WhatsApp. There is no volume-discount table on the site, so what you see is what you pay. The totals below are our multiplication from the live prices at the time of writing.
| Card | Per card | 10 cards | 25 cards | 50 cards | 100 cards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NFC Business Cards (logo + QR) | AED 79 | AED 790 | AED 1,975 | AED 3,950 | AED 7,900 |
| All-in-One NFC Business Card with QR | AED 59 | AED 590 | AED 1,475 | AED 2,950 | AED 5,900 |
| MyInfo.ae Digital Business Card with QR | AED 39 | AED 390 | AED 975 | AED 1,950 | AED 3,900 |
| WhatsApp or Google Review NFC Card with QR | AED 29 | AED 290 | AED 725 | AED 1,450 | AED 2,900 |
What the price includes, according to the FAQ: printing, programming, the free management dashboard and unlimited taps for as long as you use the card. There is no recurring fee. Orders ship express within the UAE. If you are planning an order in the hundreds, nothing stops you asking on WhatsApp whether they can do anything on price, but plan your budget on the listed rate.
The same math is useful for comparison. A competitor that quotes pricing only in a sales meeting, a pattern we discussed in our post on NFC brands that stopped listing prices, makes it hard to tell whether a monthly or per-seat fee will follow. Ask any seller in writing whether there is a subscription, because a per-card price that looks low can sit on top of a yearly platform fee.
Step 3: Branding that survives 50 cards
Consistency is the main reason to order for a team together instead of one at a time. Practical points:
- Send vector or high-resolution logos. Smaacaad's FAQ asks for your logo as PNG or SVG, plus brand colours, over WhatsApp. SVG is safest for sharp print.
- Keep the design simple. A logo, a QR code and a name. Cards are read from a few centimetres away, and the QR needs clear space around it to scan reliably.
- Print the name only if staff turnover is low. A name printed on the card means a leaver's card cannot be given to a replacement. A logo-only card with a link to a profile can be reassigned.
- Check Arabic spelling. If names appear in Arabic, get a native speaker to read the proof. Names in English and Arabic should be the same person's preferred spelling.
Smaacaad prepares a design proof for approval before production. Treat the proof as the last chance to catch an error. Their policy says orders based on incorrect information supplied by the customer, such as a wrong link or name, are not refundable once production has started, although a mistake found before approving the proof is fixed free of charge.
Step 4: Programming, and who controls the links
An NFC card contains a small chip with no battery. In the simplest setup, the chip holds one link, and Smaacaad programs it before it ships, together with the matching QR code. Smaacaad's FAQ states the chip stores only the destination link and no personal data.
Two practical points follow:
- Chip memory is not a concern for links. Common NFC chips such as the NTAG213 have 144 bytes of user memory and can hold a URL of around 130 characters, according to the Wakdev chip reference, and larger chips hold more. A typical profile link fits easily. If you want to put a long tracking URL on a card, shorten it or point to a page that redirects.
- The link is what you manage, not the chip. Smaacaad's FAQ says the destination can be changed at any time via the dashboard or on request, and the physical card stays the same. For a team, this is the key feature. A salesperson leaves, you point their card at the new person's profile or at a general company page.
Decide who your admin is. Cards can be managed by a single admin or by several, at the customer's choice. For a company, one named admin in operations or marketing is usually right, with a second person as backup, so changes do not depend on one employee being at work.
Step 5: Collect the team's details properly
Most delays in team orders come from incomplete details, not production. Build a simple spreadsheet before you contact the seller, with one row per person and these columns:
- Full name as it should appear (English and Arabic if needed)
- Job title
- Work mobile and WhatsApp number (confirm WhatsApp is active on it)
- Work email
- Link to the profile or page the card should open
- Any special request, such as a different language
Ask each person to confirm their own row. It takes five minutes and avoids reprints. Also be careful with personal data. A work phone number on a card is normal, but a personal mobile may not be. Under the UAE's personal data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), summaries by law firms such as Clyde and Co note that consent must be clear and specific for personal data processing, so make it a staff choice which details are shown, not an assumption.
Step 6: Timeline and delivery in the UAE
From Smaacaad's FAQ: after you approve the design proof, they program and produce the order and ship within one business day. Delivery across the UAE typically takes one to three business days after dispatch. Their own summary is that most orders arrive within about a week of confirming the design. Once shipped, they share tracking details, and you can see order status in your Smaacaad account dashboard.
A realistic team-order timeline:
- Day 1 to 3: collect staff details, agree card type and the link for each card.
- Day 3 to 5: send logo, colours and list over WhatsApp; receive the proof; staff check names; you approve.
- Next business day: production and dispatch.
- 1 to 3 business days later: delivery to your Dubai, Abu Dhabi or other emirate office.
- Same week: hand out cards with a five-minute briefing (see below).
If you need cards for a specific event, add buffer. We cover that in our guide to NFC cards for events in Dubai.
Step 7: Hand out the cards and teach people to use them
A card in a drawer is a wasted card. A short briefing helps.
- Show how to offer the card: hold it out, say "tap your phone on it", and have the QR ready as a backup.
- Remind everyone that most modern phones read NFC, including recent iPhones, and that a thick or metal-plated case can interfere, as the FAQ notes. If a tap fails, scan the code. See also our iPhone NFC guide.
- Agree what happens to the card when someone leaves: return it, and the admin updates the link.
Is a digital card worth it for a team?
There is a fair case against. If your staff meet people rarely, and customers already expect printed cards, paper may be enough. Our post on paper business cards versus an editable digital card sets out what to check when comparing sellers: where the profile lives, what happens if the seller stops operating, and whether you can export your data. Apply those same questions to Smaacaad. In particular, ask what happens to the profiles if you stop using the service, and ask whether the dashboard can be shared among admins.
The strongest argument for NFC cards is the link you can change. Team structures, phone numbers and offers change. A paper card goes out of date the moment someone gets promoted. Cards of this type stay accurate.
Common mistakes with team orders
- Printing everyone's mobile number on the card face. Use the profile link so numbers can be changed.
- Ordering before agreeing the link. Settle the destination and test it on a phone first.
- Skipping the proof read-through by staff. One person's misspelled name multiplied by a print run is annoying.
- No owner for the dashboard. Name an admin.
- Ordering the whole company when only the front line needs it. Start with the customer-facing group and add later. Because the price per card is flat, you do not lose a discount by ordering in two batches.
Our recommendation
For a UAE team of 10 to 50 people, choose the card type by job: a branded profile card for people who meet clients, a shared WhatsApp or review card for the front desk, and a stand for each branch counter. Collect the details in one spreadsheet, approve one proof, and name one admin. Budget on the flat listed price and confirm the total on WhatsApp.
Next step: message Smaacaad on WhatsApp with your quantity and card type, or start from the NFC Business Cards page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for NFC cards in the UAE?
At Smaacaad there is no minimum order, and single units are accepted. Every quantity is charged at the same listed price per card, so ordering 25 does not cost more per card than ordering 5, and does not cost less either.
Can each employee have a different link and name on their card?
Yes. Smaacaad's FAQ says that for team orders every card can share one destination or be set individually. For individual printed names there is a specific product, the Custom Logo Digital Business Card with Name at AED 59. Message them on WhatsApp with your list for anything custom.
How long does delivery take in Dubai and Abu Dhabi?
According to Smaacaad's FAQ, orders ship within one business day of design approval, and delivery across the UAE typically takes one to three business days. Most orders arrive within about a week of confirming the design. Orders ship express within the UAE.
What happens when an employee leaves?
The link behind a card can be changed at any time through the dashboard or by messaging Smaacaad, while the physical card stays the same. You can redirect it to a replacement's profile or to a general company page.
Are there monthly fees for team NFC cards?
Smaacaad's FAQ says you pay once, including programming, printing, the free dashboard and unlimited taps, with no monthly subscription. Always confirm the same in writing with any other seller, since some charge per user per year.
