Digital Business Card for Dubai Real Estate Agents: What to Put on It and What the DLD Permit Rule Means

STSmaacaad Team · 25 Oct 2026 · 3 min read

A digital business card for a Dubai real estate agent does one job at a viewing, an open house or a property expo: it puts your name, number and listings in the buyer's phone in a second. For agents there is a second question that most card sellers skip: what is allowed on that page. This post covers both, and is honest about what we could and could not confirm.

What Dubai's advertising-permit rule says

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) said in an October 2020 release that real estate companies and establishments operating in Dubai must apply for a permit through its Trakheesi system before publishing any real estate advertisement, and must put the permit number in the ad. The same release reported that 10 companies were fined and 30 more were warned, with fines that are progressive and start at AED 50,000 each, and that repeat or serious violations can lead to licence cancellation.

Two limits on that source. It is from 2020, and we did not open a newer DLD statement, so check the current rules on the DLD website before relying on any figure. It also does not mention digital business cards or QR codes. Whether a profile page that shows listings counts as an advertisement is something we could not confirm, so ask your brokerage or the regulator rather than assuming either way.

A safe way to set up the card

These are our suggestions, not legal advice.

  • Keep the card to identity. Name, photo, brokerage, your broker card (BRN) number if your brokerage wants it shown, phone, WhatsApp and email. This is the part that never changes meaning from one listing to the next.
  • Link out for listings. Point to your brokerage's or a listing portal's page instead of copying property details onto your own profile. The permit number then sits where the advertisement is.
  • If you do show a listing, show the permit number beside it. Ask your brokerage how they want it displayed.
  • Keep a WhatsApp button. Buyers in Dubai usually want to message first. A card that opens a chat saves them typing your number.

Why a card you can edit suits agents

An agent's details change: a new brokerage, a new number, a new area focus. A printed card has to be reprinted. A digital profile card opened by tap or scan shows whatever is on the profile today, so you edit the page and the card in the buyer's hand still works. That is the practical reason to choose a digital card over paper in this trade.

What other Dubai sellers say, and what they do not

Local NFC card sellers such as Emeron describe real estate use cases like sharing contact details and listings at open houses and expos. We found those on vendor pages only, with no independent reviews. We did not find any of them explain the permit question above. That is the gap this post is trying to fill.

Which Smaacaad card fits

The MyInfo.ae Digital Business Card with QR opens a profile with your name, photo, job title, bio, contact details and social links, with Save Contact and Share Card buttons. The QR code on the back works for buyers whose phone does not read NFC. If you want a branded card with your own logo and QR, look at NFC Business Cards. Message us on WhatsApp for options and quantities.

Be realistic about what a card does. It does not make you a licensed broker, replace a permit or bring you leads on its own. It makes sure that when a buyer does want your details, they get them correctly and in one tap.

Before you order

  • Check the current Trakheesi and broker-card requirements with your brokerage.
  • Decide what goes on the profile: identity first, listings through approved links.
  • Test the tap and the QR on an iPhone and an Android phone before a viewing.
