Automechanika Dubai 2026 (10-12 November): How Garages, Detailers and Parts Suppliers Should Collect Reviews and Contacts

STSmaacaad Team · 25 Oct 2026 · 3 min read

Automechanika Dubai 2026 takes place from 10 to 12 November at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City, the show's first edition away from Dubai World Trade Centre after 22 years there. The organiser, Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expects more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 50 countries; the state news agency WAM has reported a higher figure of 1,500. Either way, it is the largest automotive aftermarket gathering in the region, and most of the UAE's garages, detailers, tyre shops and parts traders will walk the halls at some point over the three days.

Two different jobs

If you are a visitor, the job is contacts: suppliers, distributors, equipment brands and the people you will call in January. If you are an exhibitor, the job is the same in reverse. Both are easier with a card that puts your details on the other person's phone in one tap. Neither job, however, is the one that fills your bays in December. That job is Google reviews, and it happens back at the workshop.

At the show: contacts that do not get lost

  • Carry one tap card that opens a profile with your name, phone, WhatsApp and location pin. Paper cards from a three-day show end up in a bag; a saved contact does not.
  • Exhibitors: put a stand on the counter that opens your WhatsApp. The buyer who messages you from the hall is a warmer lead than the one who takes a brochure.
  • Note the context on each contact the same evening: which hall, which product, what they asked. By Thursday night you will not remember.
  • Follow up within 48 hours while the show is still in the inbox.

Back at the bay: the review problem garages have

Workshops have an unusual review pattern. Customers arrive stressed, wait, pay more than they hoped, and leave relieved. That relief at key handover is the best moment to ask for a review that any trade gets, and most garages waste it. The service adviser hands back the key, says "drive safe", and the customer forgets you until the next warning light.

A Google review stand at the cashier, or a card the adviser hands over with the key, turns that moment into a one-tap review. Ask everyone the same way, offer nothing for it, and expect a steady 8 to 10 reviews a month from a two-bay workshop in Al Quoz or Mussafah. That pace, kept up, is what moves a garage into the Maps results for "car service near me".

Detailers, tyre shops and recovery

Detailers and car wash: the customer waits on site and sees the result; ask while they inspect the car. Tyre and battery shops: the visit is short, so a counter stand beats a card. Recovery and mobile mechanics: you are at the roadside or the customer's villa, so the technician carries a card and asks once the car starts.

What to say

"If you were happy with the work today, you can tap this to leave us a Google review. It takes a minute." One sentence, in English and Arabic, said by every adviser. Reply to each review within a few days and mention the car or the job; it shows other searchers that a real person runs the place.

What to bring to Expo City

For the show, an All-in-One NFC Business Card with QR replaces the box of paper cards. For the workshop afterwards, a Google Review NFC Stand with QR on the cashier counter and a card for each service adviser. Order before the show and they arrive with Express Shipping; pricing is on request. Automechanika is three days. The review stand works every day after it.
