Big 5 Global 2026 in Dubai (23-26 November): How Contractors and Suppliers Should Share and Keep Contacts

STSmaacaad Team · 27 Oct 2026 · 3 min read

Big 5 Global 2026 runs 23–26 November 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, according to the organiser’s website. The show covers the construction supply chain, with sector areas listed on the site that include Heavy, Totally Concrete, Marble & Stone World, Urban Design & Landscape, HVACR World, GeoWorld and Future FM. If you run a contracting company, a trade subcontractor or a small supplier in the UAE, the practical question is simple: how do you leave the show with a list of people you can actually call back?

Visitor and exhibitor numbers differ between the organiser’s own pages, so we do not quote them. What we can say from the organiser’s website is the schedule and one rule worth knowing before you send your team: visitors under 21 are not permitted.

Show hours to plan around

  • 23 November: 11:00–18:00
  • 24 and 25 November: 10:00–18:00
  • 26 November: 10:00–17:00

The last day closes an hour earlier, and that is often when suppliers are most willing to talk about samples and terms. Plan your most important meetings for days two and three, and keep the last morning for follow-ups you missed.

Big 5 Global business card: why paper fails on a show floor

Over four days you will collect brochures, samples and a pile of printed cards. By the evening of day one, most people cannot say who gave them which card. A digital card avoids two problems: you never run out, and the other person gets your WhatsApp, website and company details in one tap, with nothing to retype. The NFC Business Cards from Smaacaad open your digital profile when a phone is tapped, and the QR on the card works as a fallback for phones that do not read NFC. If you want one card that links WhatsApp, Instagram, website and location together, look at the All-in-One NFC Business Card.

A card does not do the follow-up for you, though. These habits matter more than the card:

  • Write one line per contact the same evening: what they supply, what was promised, and the date you will call.
  • Ask for the right person. A sales representative at a stand is not always the person who prices a project. Ask who handles UAE projects.
  • Bring project specifics. Quantities, sizes and delivery dates make a quote possible. A vague conversation produces a vague brochure.
  • Agree the next step before you walk away: a site visit, a sample, a written quote by a named date.

The 48-hour follow-up

Trade shows reward the company that follows up first. Within 48 hours, send a short WhatsApp or email message that repeats what you discussed, attaches the drawing or specification if you have one, and proposes a time to talk. Most buyers meet dozens of suppliers in a day; a message that reminds them of the conversation gets answered, and a generic “nice to meet you” does not.

If you are an exhibitor or a supplier with a showroom

Put a QR or tap point on your stand or counter that opens your WhatsApp chat, so a visitor can message you while still standing there. The WhatsApp NFC Chat Stand with QR does this, and you can change the destination link later from the Smaacaad dashboard if your number or message changes. After the show, the same stand can sit on your office reception desk.

An honest note

No card or stand will win you a contract. What it removes is friction: wrong numbers, lost cards and forgotten names. Prepare your project details, follow up quickly, and treat the digital card as the tool that makes the follow-up possible. Check the organiser’s site for the latest entry requirements before you travel to the venue.
