EuroShop Middle East 2026 in Dubai (26-28 October): How to Share and Keep Contacts at the Fair
If you are heading to EuroShop Middle East at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this guide is for you. According to the organiser's press release, the fair runs from 26 to 28 October 2026 and is the first edition in Dubai. The organiser is Messe Düsseldorf Connex Gulf Exhibition Organizing LLC (the Messe Düsseldorf Gulf Office). The release lists store fitting, lighting, retail technology, marketing, food service equipment, energy management and expo among the themes. It gives no visitor or exhibitor numbers, and neither do we. Check euroshop-me.com for ticket and entry rules, because the release does not state them.
Why a three-day trade fair needs a contact plan
At a fair like this you may meet dozens of suppliers and buyers in a few days. Business cards get lost in a jacket pocket, and a name on a badge is hard to match to a face a week later. A simple plan before you go matters more than any gadget.
A practical EuroShop Middle East checklist
- Before the fair: list the 5 to 10 stands or sessions you must visit, and decide which contacts you want from each (a sales lead, a technical contact, a quote).
- At the stand: note on your phone, right away, what was promised and by when. Do this before you walk to the next stand.
- Share your details quickly: have one link that opens your name, company, WhatsApp and website, so the other person does not have to type anything.
- Within 48 hours: send a short message that mentions what you discussed. This is our suggestion from experience, not a figure from any study.
- Keep a tracker: one sheet with name, company, topic, next step and date.
Where a digital business card fits
A digital card does not replace the conversation. It only removes the typing. With an NFC card the other person taps their phone on yours and your details page opens. Our cards also carry a QR code, which works for phones that do not read NFC, or when someone prefers to scan. Because the page behind the card is a link, you can fix a phone number or add a new product line without reprinting anything.
Two Smaacaad options, with prices checked on our live product list today:
- MyInfo.ae Digital Business Card with QR (AED 39 per piece): a digital profile with a QR code, suitable if you mainly want people to scan.
- NFC Business Cards (AED 79 per piece): the tap-to-share option for people who will hand out many contacts.
Be realistic: a card is one small tool. It will not get you more meetings, and we have no data showing that it improves follow-up results at trade fairs. What it does is make sure the details you share are correct and easy to open.
Before you go
- Test your card on an iPhone and an Android phone, and open the page on mobile data, not only on wifi.
- Check that your WhatsApp number and website link are correct.
- Carry a few paper cards too, since some contacts will still ask for one.
- Charge your phone; exhibition halls drain batteries.
